I'm Kristine, also known as Mom, Mamma and Sweetheart. I was born to goodly parents, Alan and Muriel, over half of a century ago. (Wow.. that sounds old!) I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters whom I love very much. I am the mother of 9 children, 6 I have given birth to and the other 3 I received as a wedding gift in 1985 when I was married and sealed to my sweetheart, John, in the Salt Lake Temple. Somehow, over time I have forgotten which is which, however! My husband, my children and their spouses, my four grandchildren, and my extended family and friends are the most important people in my life. I love my Savior and His true gospel with all my heart. I have devoted my life to them all.
The things that I enjoy the most are spending time with my family. We love to take vacations together and have family reunions like the one we had Christmas of 2002 where all 9 of our children, their spouses and our grandchildren came for Christmas. What fun we all had being together! We love to celebrate all the holidays and we have many traditions for each one.
I love to scrapbook, to preserve our memories and our family history! I love to scrapbook with my daughters and granddaughters and even by myself. I love to scrapbook in the morning, I love to scrapbook all day and I even love to scrapbook instead of doing housework, if you can imagine that! I have made scrapbooks for each of my children and grandchildren and several for John and I. Of course, that is an ongoing project that will take me the rest of my life.
I love my flower gardens. Most of all, I love all my little "butterflies" that visit my gardens! I enjoy our little home in the country as well!
I also love to read. I love the scriptures and the guidance and inspiration they are in my daily life. I keep my books near by so I can read every little chance I can find.
I love to keep myself busy with all my "mom things" and anything that involves my family. I enjoy crafts, taking lots of photos, baking, sewing and serving my husband, children, family and friends. I am currently serving as the Laurel Advisor in our Young Women's program. I love yellow VW Bugs... but for now I will settle for small ones that play CD's.
I am so grateful to my wonderful husband who has given me so much joy and happiness. He is so patient and kind and loving to our children and me. I am grateful for his Priesthood and his leadership of our family. I love him so very much. I am grateful beyond any words that each of my children and their spouses, (whom I love as my own children) and my grandchildren all have strong and firm testimonies of the gospel of Jesus Christ and they strive to live the commandments every day. FAMILIES TRULY ARE FOREVER!
